Welcome to HART

Founded in 2010, Homeless Assistance Resource Team (HART) is a collaborative movement made of community members, faith-based organizations, businesses, and local nonprofits dedicated to serving our unhoused neighbors. We are a collective of 10 grass-roots communities across Sacramento County.

What We Do

From emergency shelter to youth outreach, we offer a wide range of services to assist those experiencing homelessness.

Every HART group is a might manifestation of local residents organizing to serve their unhoused neighbors.

Success at Giving Monday!

In partnership with the Homeless Assistance Resource Team (HART) and its ongoing community efforts to address homelessness across the region, SMUD sponsored Giving Monday (Dec. 4, 2023) at Cal Expo.

This was a tremendously successful event -
Over 9,000 items were donated through the Amazon wish list as well as several large containers filled through the drive through. The unhoused in the Sacramento region will feel this kindness and generosity expressed by those that donated.
