North Sacramento HART put on their first major fundraiser, a breakfast-for-dinner Pancake Suppa' on Sunday, October 20th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church! There was delicious buttermilk pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, and fruit, all of which was donated by local grocery store, Viva Supermarket. MC and entertainment was provided by Mount Hermon Baptist Church. There were raffle prizes donated from the community and local businesses, Burly Beverages, Iceland Ice Skating Rink, and Sacramento Association of Museums.
There were over 100 guests in attendance, and even more tickets sold! Ticket sales raised over $2,000 and raffle ticket sales raised over $400. The fundraiser was a big success and North Sacramento HART will be able to buy gas and grocery gift cards to give to Parking Lot Sanctuary guests this winter.
If you would like more information on the Parking Lot Sanctuary, or would like volunteer, email Kamilah Watson at kamilah900@gmail.com or see North Sacramento's page on this website.
Thank you to everyone who bought tickets and came out to support North Sacramento HART!
